The innovative 1.8 litre turbo-charged engine marks a remarkable step in engineering achievement. The 4-cylinder, 16-valve turbo configuration features intercooling and high-flow injectors for sparkling performance, while the torque curve is close to the ideal flat profile, putting generous pulling power at your disposal irrespective of engine speed.
Juliansi.blogspot.com says ... I drove the 1.8 turbo as a hire car in the UK and it was one very fast vehicle. At 110 mph it was still steady as a rock, that's 180 km/h in our "currency"! Very refined, and just so smooth. Poor man's Jag? Perhaps!
