This is the "famous" sauce, a blend of oils, fried shallots, spring onions, and simply delicious .. but probably not very healthy! To add to this, each meat dish comes with a small dish of Sa Cha Cheong (Taiwan specialty) as well. Goes really well with the food!
We ordered a set ... Beef Slice Set (RM$20.90).
I loved the meats here, fresh, thinly sliced, and delicious ... Pork (Extra order @ RM$6) and Beef (which came with the set, but we ordered a 2nd dish @ RM$8).
All food stuff here is modular in nature i.e. you choose what you want, and you pay for each. Even the soup! Each person gets their own Steamboat, or more like Shabu Shabu, which is a small cauldron with a very fast acting and hot electric heater below (All very hygienic I have to say! And dare I saw ... modern!). My choice of soup was Herbal Soup A (RM$3.30), whilst my buddy had ABC soup (Which is simply onions, carrots and potatoes) @ RM$2.
We also ordered some ... Fresh fish slices (RM$7)
Other dishes we ordered ...
Pork meatball (Small @ RM$3)
Kum Chum Koo aka Straw or needle mushrooms (Enoki) @ RM$6 a plate (We had two)
Crystal bean curd (RM$3.50)
Pumpkin slice (RM$2)
Dried seaweed (RM$2)
Chinese parsley (RM$1)
Taro slice (RM$2.50)
The final bill? A little over RM$81. For 2 persons. Ouch!!
Overall, I was left a little dissapointed ... the meal started off great, but again with the copious amounts of MSG, the taste just seemed to diminish as the meal went along. I remember from a previous (and first) visit to Mizi Shabu Shabu Steamboat , it seemed a lot yummier. Hmmm....
