Ye Lai Xiang Cheng Tng - Established in Singapore, 1939

Add: Bedok Corner Food Centre - 1 Bedok Road, Stall No 31, Singapore 469572
Located: Opposite Bedok Army Camp
Opening hours: 12pm - 8pm, closed on Mondays

What's the fuss with the queue ... The best cheng tng in town, that's what!

Similar to Malaysia's ubiquitous leng chee kang, which I have enjoyed at the roadside in Pandamaran and Mee Jawa at Tropicana. The one served by Andrew at Stall 31 is very rich, with some fine ingredients including chunky persimmon bits.

Seems like everyone has a good story about Andrew :-)
1) Ralph describes his love for Rolexes
2) iEatiShootiPost describes how he learnt the recipe from his Grandma
3) Sumosumo gave me a demonstration of what happens when you ask Andrew about "special cheng tng" ... It comes with a lip-puckering "flying" kiss! Oooooh... Uh!
