Nero Vivo, Bukit Ceylon / Bukit Bintang KL - Happy Merdeka!

HAPPY MERDEKA everyone!!!

Really large platter of starters .. Mediterranean vegetables etc on one, and Seafood on the other.

Nothing spectacular about the pizza.

Excellent cod ... perfectly pan-friend and seared.

Great lasagna!

The beef was incredible ... Loved the reduction sauce.

Pannacotta ... was rather dissapointing, and not balanced at all. Overwhelmed by the deep dark chocolate sauce.

Gin and Tonic with a splash (and more!) of Cranberry juice.

Prosecco ...

Not limoncello, but similar ... orange cello!
Wikipedia Limoncello is traditionally served chilled as an after dinner digestivo...
There are a number of similar liqueurs produced within and outside of Italy. Some are slight variations, some use lemon juice as well, and some use other citrus fruits. These include Limoncino, Limonello, and Limonetta or even Crema di Limoncello which is made with milk, or milk products, to give a creamy texture. Also common is a liqueur made in the same fashion, but using Mandarin oranges, called Mandarino.

Wasn't a big fan of this rather sharp, RM$170, white wine, a Pinot Grigio Chardonnay.

Friends just hanging out ... and chilling!

Wishing one and all ... HAPPY MERDEKA! Malaysia is 51 today :-)
