Malaysia goes down ... Olympics Badminton @ George and Dragon BSC

We were glued to Astro / the television at the George and Dragon, Bangsar Shopping Centre (Yes, open for business as usual), last night ... We were there from 6.30pm till 11.30pm. Alas, it was not Malaysia's night!


In the Women's Singles Quarterfinals,
Lu Lan, China, def. Mew Choo Wong, Malaysia, 21-7, 29-27.
The second set was a genuine battle royale, but how Mew Choo could lose when she had 5 set points ... only she would know!

In the Doubles ...
Markis Kido and Hendra Setiawan, Indonesia, def. Kien Keat Koo and Boon Heong Tan, Malaysia, 21-16, 21-18.
We were genuinely outclassed, but that bad line call near the end of the second and final set, must have been partially to blame!
