Michael Phelps quest continues!

Simply breathtaking! The moment of the Beijing 2008 games so far I reckon ...

Event: 400-meter freestyle relay
The quest: Michael Phelps goes for 8 gold medals in the same Olympics
The unthinkable ... The US relay team was miles behind after Phelps, Garrett Weber-Gale and Cullen Jones; Well, 6/10 ths of a second behind, with one swimmer to go ... and Jason Lezak saved the day, not just for the US of A, but for Phelps and for the entire swimming event!
The result!
1) A time of 3 minutes 8.24 seconds, smashing the world record by nearly 4 seconds.
2) More importantly ... A victory by 0.08s over the French relay team.
3) And most importantly ... Phelps has his SECOND gold medal for these games.

This picture really says it all ...

I am hooked ... swimming's really cool! Go Phelps!

He made Six golds at the 2004 Olympics. Seven golds at the 2007 Worlds. Michael Phelps will enter eight races in Beijing within reach of multiple records, including most career Olympic golds (9) and most golds at a single Games (7).

And now Phelps wins 400m, takes gold and breaks his own world record in the 400m IM.

Would he take 8 Gold medals this time?
