Hakka Yong Tou Foo Chan Chan, Bandar Manjalara - Kepong

Add: 69, Jalan 11/62A, Bandar Manjalara, Kepong, KL
Tel: +603 6275 9113

On a cold rainy night, L took our team out for some Jalan Jalan Cari Makan in Kepongland! This is a really famous YTF (Yong Tau Foo) place, which one of my colleagues had brought me many years ago ... Ah, nostalgia!

First off, select the dishes or items required. Each YTF is about RM$1 a piece.

As "starters", KT chose some Hakka Yuk. Too starchy, blarrrrggggh...

KT skillfully distributed the sweet sauce and chilli sauce.

The fried YTF was good but not incredible ... hmm, I think I prefer the one served at YHK in Damansara and its "parent" Yap Hup Kee in Pudu, KL!
Soup YTF ... good, but again not spectacular!

I went to this restaurant today, 27 September 2009 with 4 friends. All I can tell you is that the owner is very unethical in managing her business. I wasn't pissed off by the poor service but rather the ill-mannerred accusation by the owner. I patronise this restaurant frequently and today I treated a group of friends to dinner. I ordered plenty varieties of yong tau foo and other dishes. After I paid the bill, I noticed that 14 pieces of foo chuk (7pcs round & 7pcs flat foo chuk) was not served. I told the lady boss, who was managing the counter, about the mistake. I was totally shocked when she commented that such mistake could not be possible. she also added that shortage of a piece or two may seemed possible, but not entirely missing-out the order. I am totally dissappointed with such unethical way of doing business. Hence, I am not going to visit this restaurant ever again.

Andy, I know what you mean. This place has deteriorated :-(

Perhaps try the one at Imbi (Next to Honda show-room), road-side at its best. They open quite late, perhaps 6ish pm or when the sunsets! ENJOY!
