Wong Chi Kei noodles breakfast, Macau

Add: Travessa de Cinco de Outubro 51, R/C, Macau
Tel: +853 2892 2271
Located at: Senado Square (The main square in Macau city)

Hmm, seems that this is The Breakfast Place and a real institution in Macau ... but we ended up walking away slightly dissapointed. Firstly, the service was haphazard, the waitress screwed up and forgot MOST of our orders! Secondly, the food was only average to just-better-then-poor! Best dish? The porridge!

Macau's main square aka Senado Square is choc'a'bloc with tourists ... and this is where Wong Chi Kei lies. Seems that there is a photo of Chris Patten (’Fat Pang’), the last British governor of Hong Kong, on one of the 3 floors. I didn't see this unfortunately, would have been interesting to see a photo of him enjoying a bowl of crab congee (which I didn't know to order as well!).

The Wong Chi Kei specialty (Egg noodles with dried shrimp roe on top) was rather dissapointing! I did enjoy the tasty soup which came with it.

Folks in Macau sure like Beef Brisket!

Side dishes ... Wantons and more beef!

The best dish ... H's Duck and Pork Ball Porridge. SLURrrrrrrrrrrrp ... so smooth and tasty!

A very strange dish ... meat ball with tamarind or something fruity like that.

Pork chop sandwich ... Macau'ans do this snack well!

Ice Cafe and Nai Char (Milk Tea) ... very popular local drinks. Good too!

Time to see more of Macau...

Bro, too bad about your encounter with the service. I have been there many times and did not have such experience. Anyway, the food there is mostly good.
