On my first visit, I had the Hainanese Chicken Chop ... My instincts were right, the Hainan CURRY RICE was likely to have been a better choice. I went back a few days later ... and I was right! Really good food in Bukit Tinggi, Klang ... FINALLY!
Pig skin with Pineapple (RM$3) - doesn't sound appetising, but is o' so tasty ... the gravy is sublime.
Hainanese Char Siew (Sort of like a pork chop, sliced up ... RM$3.50) - Really good too!
Hainanese Spring Roll (RM$3) - Ngor hiang / Lobak at its finest. Delicious!
Hainan Mutton Curry (RM$4) - I loved this, thick and flavoursome.
Braised egg (RM$0.70 - Yes, 70 cents!) - Like all other dishes, a small serving, but great value and delicious too.
Hainan curry rice (RM$1) - Lovely way to accompany all the above dishes.
Couldn't resist ordering the Toast Bun aka Kaya Toast ... delightfully delicate bread, served with melting butter and scrumptious kaya. Great stuff! All of RM$1.20.
The Star's SMS review of 'best roti bakar' included this example!
The total bill? A very reasonable RM$17.
