Macallan 30 years ... The finest whisky ever?

Thanks to TC for the fine whisky tasting session we enjoyed in Hong Kong one night some months ago ... I was very eagerly waiting to try the Mac 30 :-)

Laphroaig "30" years to start :-) Medicinal and perhaps the oddest single-malt I had ever tasted!

Glenfiddich "30" and the great value Highland Park "25" were much more accessible and good ...

But then ... it was time for The Best! Macallan 30 generally retails at between 800 USD - 1,000 USD or so I have been told! Not ever seen one in the "regular" duty-frees and off-license shops I go to!

Macallan.com describes it ... This legendary Single Malt is Triple Cask matured for a minimum of 30 years in a unique, complex combination of Exceptional Oak Casks; Spanish oak casks seasoned with sherry, American oak casks seasoned with sherry and American oak casks seasoned with bourbon. This delivers an extraordinarily smooth, delicate yet complex Single Malt.

Carefully pouring the pale gold nectar ... and boy was it good and worth the wait! Smooth ... strong ... so smooooth. I was left speechless :-)

I should shoot you in the face for putting ice in that.

How many cases / cartons of the Macallan 30 do you have?
