Abu Dhabi International Motorshow : Ferrari

Ferrari had a large presence in the motorshow, despite only really bringing TWO of their cars to the spectacle. The rest were showcased by other exhibitors!

599 GTB Fiorano, Ferarri's uber-gran turismo ... Showcased by Princess Cars of Abu Dhabi. First launched way back in 2006, and still looks awesome!

Ferrari F430 ... Produced from 2004-2009, as the successor the 360. On display by Caltex.

Ferrari design heritage in the F430 ...
Athe rear, the Enzo's tail lights and interior vents have been added.
The car's name has been etched into the Testarossa-styled driver's side mirror;
The large oval openings in the front bumper are reminiscent of Ferrari racing models from the 60s, specifically the 156 "sharknose" Formula One car and 250 TR61 Le Mans cars of Phil Hill.

4.3 Litre, V8 ... 483 BHP, with a max speed of 315 km/h!

Ferrari themselves only showcased 2 cars ... such as the California. I think this Grand Touring Sports Car looks better in the flash then in the photos! The name California is derived from the 1950s Ferrari 250 GT.
Interesting that BMW, Mercedes and Porsche chose not to bring their cars to the show ... Hmmm, wonder why?
Anyway... Did you know that the California represents a number of firsts for Ferrari ...
The first front engined Ferrari with a V8
The first to feature a 7-speed dual clutch transmission
The first with a folding metal roof
The first with multi-link rear suspension
The first with direct petrol injection.

And the divinely gorgeous Ferrari 458 Italia ... This serves as the replacement for the F430. This V8 now pumps out ... 560 BHP!

Dunno who brought this Ferrari F1 car to the motorshow :-)
