Soo Kee, Sea Park in PJ - Ipoh Kuay Teow

SOO KEE Restaurant, located opposite the SEA Park market, is one of the legends of the Klang Valley eating scene.
Add: 33 Jalan 21/17, PJ
Tel: +603 7876 7736
Note the short opening hours ... 8.30am to 2.30pm

Some research revealed ...
Cheng Chee Loong and his mother, Woon Sai Lan, have been running the restaurant since the mid-1970s, moving to the present location in 1982.

What's good ...
Ipoh koay teow with shredded chicken and prawns
Steamed chicken with oyster sauce (Mom swears that this may be the smoothest chicken in town!)
Prawn wan tan in soup with vegetables
Taugeh (bean sprouts) with soya sauce, fried shallots and chopped spring onions

Sunday breakfast is an important family ritual :-)

ps. Mum's little gift for her car, which I got from Kentucky (Famous for its Triple Crown / Kentucky Darby!)
