Shisha @ Arab Street, Singapore

Blu Jaz Cafe @ 11 Bali Lane, Singapore
Tel: +65 6292 3800

Described in Wikipedia as ... "One of the few places in Kampong Glam that serve alcohol (including a long list of beers), and while food is served as well (pastas and Western-style mains $12-15), the main draws here are the laid-back ambiance and the live music. Grab a drink and a seat outside on the sidewalk, screened from passing cars by a thicket of greenery, and just chill."

Couple of beers ...

Here's what we came for ... the Shisha! We tried the APPLE, it was nice (duh, sounds a lot like Borat)!

Wikipedia, "A hookah (Hindi: हुक्का, Urdu: حقہ hukka) or shisha (Arabic: شيشة or أركيلة), is a single or multi-stemmed (often glass-based) water pipe device for smoking; originating in India, it has gained popularity, especially in the Arab World. A hookah operates by water filtration and indirect heat. It can be used for smoking many substances, such as herbal fruits and tobacco."

It started drizzling as we were about to leave .... what a great evening! Thanx, L and C for introducing us to Arab Street!
