Spice & Rice Thai Restaurant, Siam City Hotel @ Bangkok

The Spice and Rice Thai Restaurant is located at the Siam City Hotel, in Bangkok. Nice cosy setting, our course dinner was held in a private room.

Egg Pancakes filled with Minced Sweet Sausage and Pork - Slurp, the sausage was good! Also on the plate ... Fish and String Bean patties flavoured with Herbs and Curry servecd with Mixed vinegar, cucumber and peanut.

Sweet shredded Pork salad with Shallot, Celery, Spring Onion and Sweet chili paste - Deeeeeeelicious!

"Thailand's most famous soup" ... Tom Yum Koong. River King Prawns with Mushroom, Galangal, Kaffir, Lemongrass and Chili. Full of flavour, I really enjoyed this, and the fresh prawn was huge too! Not too hot, phew :-)

Massaman curry with Beef, peanuts, onions and potatoes - Always a favourite of mine.

Deep fried Marinated Gray mullet, served with Tamarind and Chili sauce - Pretty good, but wish there was more of the sauce!

Sauteed vegetables in Oyster sauce

Selection of steamed rice, how interesting ... Unpolished rice, Kao Suey (Beautiful rice!), et al.

Rice flavour dumplings n Warm coconut syrup

Tropical fresh fruits which are in season ...
