Canton-i , One Utama - Fantastic Tim Sum!

This is a gem in One Utama ... possibly one of my favourite non-hotel tim-sum places now .... excellent! Good service, very good food, but rather expensive (Though I think it is good value for the quality of food and ambience).

Slurp .... Sunday morning brunch, well more like a late breakfast! Arrived at 10:10am, but it wasn't opened as yet ... so we walked around until the opening hour of 10:30am, when there were already 2-3 tables filled up. Obviously Damansara folk like their timsum here!


I like the modern ambience ... nice airey feel.

Char-siew soh (Abalone shaped) - RM$10 (Must order! Brilliant light pastry & filling combo)

Egg Tart - RM$3 (Deeeeeeelicious! Warm, moist, superb!)

Carrot Cake with XO Sauce - RM$12 (We loved this, excellent .. tasty .. and not oily too! Check out our empty plate ... every morsel was devourered)

Ching Pai Kuat (Steamed Spare Ribs) - RM$8 (I thought this was rather poor, too much flour. Prefer the lean variety)

Cha Chiang Mien (Shanghai style minced meat, sauce noodles) - RM$11.80 (Delicious and beautifully textured fine noodles)

Siew Mai - RM$4 (Average, I prefer the one at Restaurant Imperial in Bukit Tinggi, Klang )

Slurp ... food was so good, had to order more!

Kon Loh Mee with Siew Yoke and Char Siew (2 Combo BBQ noodles) - RM$12.80 (Slurp! So much good variants of Kon Loh Mee in our country ... Aren't we lucky!)

Char Siew Cheong Fun (Chee Cheong Fun with BBQ pork) - RM$8.80 (Average)

Crispy Peanut Pancake - RM$9 (Piece de resistance ... melts in your mouth, full of flavour)Pak Kor Yee Mai (Barley Soup) - RM$5 (Pretty darn good!)

We washed down our brunch feast with some hot water, at RM$1 each.

Total bill was an expensive, but well deserved, RM$101.
