We had driven past this joint many a time ... but finally one evening, we decided to check it out.


Chicken Penghulu Rice - Good! RM$8.80
Very yummy chicken, and interesting milky-santan-curry dip to go alongside. The stir fried cabbage was good too. Great start to the meal!


Nasi Lemak with Ayam Rendang , RM$7.80 - Dissapointing, just didn't have the right feel or taste to it. The rendang was half decent, but the sambal was way too hot, and the rice soggy. Rather poor!


Yau Char Kuey (Dough fritters) with Kaya , RM$3 - Slurrrrp! Enjoyed this, though I was initially hesitant due to the flourescent coloured kaya dip!


Kopi (RM$2.50) here was strong ... perhaps a bit too strong! The total damage for everything? RM$28.


ps - This bit of the menu made me laugh ... Barlie Fucuk !? What the Fucuk? Hmm ...


Pps - What was worrying was I had a bad tummy ache (DISCLAIMER! Though that could have been contributed by some other meals I had in the day and evening) the morning after, and I read boonyew.com's blog ... "Apart from the lovely decor, interesting indoor/outdoor facade, and over-friendly and over-zealous staff, this place SUCKS ... The next day, LL and I had diarrhea. I went to the toilet 2 times."
