Ipoh Old Town, Bangsar

I actually found the original in Ipoh better ... Ipoh Old Town by the Ipoh Padang , but still it was really convenient to get to enjoy Ipoh makan without having to track 2 hours up the highway! The usual fare ... Kai See Hor Fun (Shredded chicken hor fun in Soup) as well as Pork Balls in Soup. The White coffee was just average.

Bak Kut Teh at Telok Pulai, Klang

Telok Pulai Bak Kut Teh at Taman Rashna, Klang (Near to Menara ING) leaves little to be described ... Today's Sai Kuat mixed with Pai Kuat was really good, so much so that we ordered 2 pots! Stir fry Yau Mak and Yau Cha Kuay on the side, divine.

Prime, Le Meridien KL

Birthday celebration at Le Meridien's Prime.

For starters, I had Lobster Bisque which was simply divine, with a gorgeous puff pastry over the top. The Caesars Salad was rather dissapointing, especially at 40 bucks! Just too much 'creaminess'.

As described in the Malay Mail ... "Those who love their meat will be overjoyed to learn that Prime, Le Meridien’s latest steak house and one of Kuala Lumpur’s top tables, serves the prized 200-day grain-fed Australian Black Angus and Grass Fed Argentina Cabana Las Lilas."

I had the latter prepared 'Medium', but it was not as tender as I thought it should be. It certainly was juicy, and had a good meaty flavour, but the Wagyu I previously had at Sheraton Imperial was actually better. Guess I have to try the Black Angus 200d next time! The Grilled Cod was excellent though!

Famous Nasi Lemak ... Excellent fried chicken and 'batter/garlic' bits, simply stupendous! YUM! Located adjacent to the wet market / police 'pondok'.

Convenient location inside the Jusco mall, at Bandar Baru Klang ... and soup was actually rather tasty, without being overly 'oily'. A simple Steamboat ... and the side dishes were reasonable as well, Kai-Lan in Oyster Sauce and BBQ Beef. I did enjoy the Thai Tea. Damage? Approx. RM$50.

Nilai Springs Golf ... Near Seremban

The round at Nilai Springs, located off the Seremban Highway just outside of Sepang / KLIA was followed by lunch and drinks at the cafe facing the 18th green ... Oriental chicken chop was not bad, the guys enjoyed the Chicken Rice and Mee Mamak too.
