Best Malaysian eatery in Abu Dhabi - This is Reem!

My fave eatery in Abu Dhabi? It's Reem Island!

We love the noodles here ... Hokkien Mee, or how about the excellent Yin Yang (Wat Tan Hor)?

Or you can have dishes too ... the Teet Pan (Sizzling) chicken is delicious ;-)

Or for something really quick, and really REALLY delicious ... Tip Tau Fan aka Dish with Rice, for only 18 AED (2 AED for extra egg) ... Sambal chicken with rice.

And the excellent Sweet and Sour Chicken with Rice!

Hankook is not a tyre, its a Korean restaurant in Abu Dhabi!

Heh heh ... nice name eh :-)

I love the way the spoon is covered :-)

Truly wonderful, the Bulgogi or grilled marinated beef. Worth every bit of the 50 AED it cost! And unlimited rice too ... Korean rice served here is sticky and simply ... perfect!

Yes ... this is cheeyuk. Slurps!

Lastly ... I have to add it was rather good value, attentive service, all the below food for only about 115 AED or under RM$110.

World's fastest production bike - Meet the Hayabusa!

Gorgeous ... eh! Wonder if this is the Suzuki Hayabusa GSX-1300R-K8 (2008), or perhaps the -K9 (2009)?

The Suzuki Hayabusa (or GSX1300R) is a hyper sport motorcycle made by Suzuki since 1999. It immediately won acclaim as the world's fastest production motorcycle, with a top speed of 188–194 miles per hour (303–312 km/h).

Did you know ...
Hayabusa is Japanese for Peregrine Falcon, a bird that often serves as a metaphor for speed due to its vertical hunting dive, or stoop, speed of 180 to 240 miles per hour (290 to 390 km/h), the fastest of any bird
In particular, the choice of name was made due to the fact that the peregrine falcon preys on blackbirds, which reflected the intent of the original Hayabusa to unseat the Honda CBR1100XX Super Blackbird as the world's fastest production motorcycle Eventually, the Hayabusa managed to surpass the Super Blackbird by at least a full 10 miles per hour (16 km/h).

Abu Dhabi - Wakestock

One Friday, bbG, me and my Nikon D80 with Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8 decided to go to the local beach ... and look what greeted us. Abu Dhabi Wakestock!

Wakestock Abu Dhabi represents the first stop on the prestigious 2010 WWA Wakeboard World Series as the sport's top 16 athletes compete off the shore of Al Sahil Beach for a share of the $50,000 prize and the title of Wakestock Abu Dhabi Champion 2010.

Superstar ... Aaron Rathy!

The world’s top 16 riders have already confirmed their participation in the event and will have a shot at walking away with the richest prize purse in the sport. Amongst the big name riders already confirmed to attend are current WWA World Series Champion Phillip Soven, WWA World Wakepark Champion Nick Davies, current US National Champion Adam Errington, current World Champion and King of Wake Champion Aaron Rathy, European Champion and four times Wakestock UK winner Dan Nott and wakeboarding legend Parks Bonifay. The competition will take place just off Abu Dhabi Public Beach on the Corniche and will feature three massive custom-built floating rails specifically designed for the event. The use of these rails combined with the calibre of talent in attendance already confirmed will provide an awe-inspiring spectacle, along with inspiration for residents and visitors alike to get involved in the fastest growing water sport in the world.
Etihad was a core sponsor ... As always!
