Seremban Siu Pao & Homi Curry Puff, SS2

A really good coffeeshop at SS2, in Petaling Jaya ... Home of Homi Curry Puff (the guy's business is incredible, non-stop stream of customers as I awaited by char kuay teow - over 20 minutes, continuously!) ... Seremban Siu Pao (Superb!) ... and rather good Robert Penang Char Kuay Teow too (Not as good as Section 17's, but still good!).
So the verdict ...
Homi Curry Puff : I have to say that IKEA's is actually better, as the Homi one has too much curry-powder / overpowering in taste, the pastry is rather good though.
Kuay Teow (Robert-style) : I prefer the one at Section 17 (Say Huat coffeeshop)
Seremban Siu Pao : Consistent across most shops, this is really good

Restoran Hock Seng Two, SS2 PJ - Curry Puff, Assam Laksa, Siu Pau

Add: Restoran Hock Seng Two, 66, Jalan SS 2/66, PJ
Review: Homi Curry Puff at SS2

This kopi tiam houses a number of decent stalls, including the legendary Homi Chicken Curry Puff ... RM$1.30 of magic, huge curry "paps"!

In the stall directly behind Homi, no relationship to Homi, is Seremban Siu Pau. Yumm ... small, and delicious.

G and E were back from S'pore, and wanted to try our local Assam Laksa. RM$4 from the corner stall at the kopi tiam. It did not dissapoint, but I felt it was nothing like the one I had at Gurney Drive Penang recently.

Homi Curry Puff and Siew Pao, SS2

Snack time ... 17th June
Homi Chicken Curry Puff ... 66, Jalan SS 2/66, 47 300 Petaling Jaya

I have heard about this legendary Curry Puff, but boy was I impressed ... excellent (Truly beautiful, flaky but not too thin) pastry, and great contents of chicken curry and potatoes too. And to top it all off, you can get Seremban Siu Bao at the store next door!
