Pattaya Floating Market "Water village", Thailand

Located: Sukhumvit Road, on the left, just past the waterski park. The market is located approx 2km past the Underwater world, on the way to Sattahip.


A modern floating market!

Boats were all selling food and drinks, the huts had touristy-items for sale.

Heh heh... this made us giggle!

We stopped for a coffee at one of the huts on stilts, more like a water village here ...

One of my team members brought along his Nikon D80 too! Here he is testing out my Tamron Sp90 Macro lens :-)

Spotted on the way out! A well preserved Tuk-Tuk, and a really nice old 3-series BMW.

Service, which is conducted in English, begins at Sunday, 10am, each week :-)
Service is held on the 15th floor of the hotel, in a large room with a great view of Pattaya.

Ps - Thanks to the wonderful reception staff at the Marriott, who pointed me to the new location across the road from where they are! Many years ago, I remember the service being held at one of the junior ballrooms of the Marriott!

We could even see a helipad ... The weather at this time of the year, end November, is fabulous. Sunny, and cool (26-27 degrees centigrade) with a light breeze.

My home for three weeks...

Took some shots of the exterior of the hotel early one Saturday morning, brought my Nikon D80 as well as my Tamron SP90 Macro f/2.8 and Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8 zoom along.
