Imbi Palace, KL - Tim Sum

Sunday lunch ... Always good, that's Imbi Palace! Besides the usual fare of char-siew pau (dissapointing, as was the char siew soh), char-siew cheong fun and prawn cheong fun (rather good), egg-tarts (always a treat!), loh mai kai and siu-mai et al, we ventured a little bit 'further' into the Vinegar Soup Pork and Pork Intestine Soup, as well as Chee Cheong Fun with XO Sauce and Shanghai Style noodles. Yummy!
Reasonably priced at $35 per head for the 4 of us.
Ps. Despite the crowd, the service was pleasant and efficient, bravo!

Yau Cha Kuay with Kaya

Best way to enjoy Yau Cha Kuay ...
1) Coated in Kaya
2) Soaking in warm Soya Bean Milk
Which do you reckon?

ps. Bought the Yau Cha Kuay and Ham-Cheen-Peng from outside Restoran Jackson, next door to Say Huat, at Section 17 (PJ). 60 cents each.

Duchess and Bentley ... Coco's buddies?

Love them furkids :-)

Ninja Jones Japanese, Northpoint

Ninja Jones is described as a fusion restaurant, part Western, mostly Japanese ... I found it to be rather Japanese actually!
Its located at ... A-G-5 Ground Floor, Northpoint, Mid Valley City, 1 Medan Syed Putra Utara, 59200 Kuala Lumpur.
Do call for reservations ... +603 2288 1646
Shrouded in mystique (Ninjas generally are!) , the entrance is very cool ... at a push button, the door opens! And you MAY be greeted by a Ninja upon entrance!

The finger foods .. Unagi and Tofu Salad ($15 - Well recommended, generous portion of unagi), Caterpillar Roll ($18), Ishiyaki Agedashi Tofu ($14 - Always a favourite!), Ebi Cream Croquette ($18 - Again, very good) and Tobiko Nigiri ($10 - Shirley's favourite).

Moving on to the mains ... Unagi and Soba Udon Set ($42 - That's mine. The soba was really special) and the Tori Teriyaki set ($25 - chicken teriyaki).

Overall ... EXCELLENT! Will certainly return to this interesting place again, just wish there were more ninjas!

Char Kuay Teow (Roberts) at Say Huat, Section 17 (PJ)

Roberts Char Kuay Teow ($3.50 a plate for 'basic' version, last time I paid $6 for one with mega prawns and lotsa lap-cheong) at Say Huat Kopitiam in Sentosa square, Section 17 (Petaling Jaya) is simply incredible!
The Fried Chicken Wing and Popiah are only average ...

Ps. Did a search for Say Huat online, and found that it had other fans as well! Hmm, this Flogger reckons the Thai Fried Rice is good, I can't wait to return!

Monterez Golf ... another record round!

It started off as a scorchingly hot day at 1.30pm ...

The the rain came at 3pm ...

The drainage on the course was amazing, an hour later, Jeanette and myself continued our round. The greens were still true, and the fairways playable. Just stay away from the water-logged bunkers! Ended up shooting the BEST ROUND OF MY LIFE ...

52 front 9, 46 back 9
3 pars, including par-ing the 17th and 18th!
Total score = 98, or 26 over par. Bliss!
