I am on a roll this week ... my 2nd film!
Poor acting, terrible one-liners, but remarkably ... entertaining! Well, it would be if you were a car-buff like me ... Check out the Ford GT v Ferrari Enzo v Saleen S7 v Porsche GT sequence on the Final Race! AND ... the CCX v Enzo just before the closing credits is just as stunning. Reckless fun! The star of the show? These were the cars!


Funny quote? Check out the last line in the show ...
"Good cars get you from A to B fast ...
Great cars ... get you in trouble!"

Jit Xin with the family, Bukit Tinggi @ Klang

Finally had the opportunity to take my family to Jit Xin, along Bukit Tinggi in Klang, this evening ... and it was well received :-)

General Tao chicken, Signature tofu, Kai Lan stir fried, and Thai style Fish Head curry. Together with rice for 4 and Char Wong (Tea of Kings) ... the bill came up to a fair RM$61.


ps - Mum was well impressed that the Kitchen was located behind a large glass facade, allowing all to see their food being prepared ... good levels of hygiene and housekeeping at Jit Xin!

Chong Kok Wah Tuo Guan - Chinese desserts, SS2 (PJ)

Located near Poh Kong and Mak Dental Surgery in SS2, PJ ... Enjoyed both desserts, not too sweet and full of 'goodies'!

Char Siew & Roast Duck @ Weng Kee, Section 17 in PJ

On the search for another Char Siew joint ... this one was recommended by our Jen ...
Weng Kee is located at the corner of Jalan 17/27, in PJ's Section 17.

One of the best Tai-chows you'd find in town!


Duh ... interesting sight at the side of the kopitiam ... for all to see ... the 'sacs' used for the sausage or 'cheong'!


This is the cheong :-) which was yummy, as was the char-siew! A simple variant of char-siew, not overpoweringly sweet, but good. The gravy/sauce was yummy, cooked over a charcoal fire!


I wasn't overly impressed by the duck or accompanying veges...


The Char Siew is served in RM$4.50 portions (by weight), and it was tiny ... so we ordered a second round!
A little lesson from the restauranteur who was in her mid-70s ... Let you in on a little secret ... some of the most charred / burnt / chao-tah bits of the char-siew is ALSO the yummiest! Eat in moderation, and enjoy ;-)

SS2 PJ - Penang Lok Lok (Steamboat)

SS2 PJ has a lot of eateries ... but only a few are worth a mention. This one certainly deserves it! Delicious!! The full write-up ... Heng Seng Penang Lok Lok

Time for the lok-lok ... The pork balls deserve a special mention! Its that good!


All the above for little more then RM$15. Bargain!

SS2 ... Best chicken rice

Simply YUMMY ... love the chicken rice (2 portions breast meat with 1 plate of rice @ RM$11 - good value, a lot of meat!) here at SS2's Medan Selera. Tender, tasty, excellent!


The lala wasn't so good ... Too sweet, and didn't taste fresh enough!

This must have been the first film I watched in its entireity from start to finish this year, and it was a good one!

Brilliant acting by Seth Rogen, Katherine 'Greys Anatomy' Heigl, Paul Rudd et al ... great one liners, and moving storyline representing very real issues of couples today ... with humour to match. Simply ACE!

Here's what we enjoyed for RM$29 ... General Tao (or General somebody) chicken, their signature chicken-dish, delicious! Signature to-fu with minced choy-poh and pork, and I had fried noodles for the first time too ... excellent Kon Chau Hor.
