Costa for breakfast - Al Wahda Mall

We like Costa ... we like Al Wahda Mall ... we really like the GIGANTIC "soup-like" portion of Cappucino at Costa, for not many a dirham :-)

Our favourite? The Turkey and Ham twist ... but look what was brought to us, a Turkey Ham and Cheese toastie :-( Seems it wasn't the first time we experienced this, I guess I gotta either "point" next time, or speak slower ... or perhaps ... It was the staff!

Any how ... the toastie was actually delicious, and we got a Twist later any way (We did pay for it!). A self-reminder for the next time we visit Costa at Al Wahda Mall!!

Nespresso limited edition - Crealto

We like our Nespresso Latissima machine, and always get excited when Nestle decides to launch a new "blend" ... Here's our experience with Crealto.

Purchased from: Abu Dhabi Mall
Located: Level 1 - Near the escalator.

Our verdict .. We like it! Strong, with an intensity of 8 (of 10), with a distinct long-lasting cocoa-afternot. It is recommended to work better as an expresso - We take it as a Cappucino, and its just as good :-)

Nespresso describes the creation of this limited (Autumn 2012) blend ...
MAURO COLAGRECO - Michelin‐starred Chef
“My encounter with Nespresso allowed me to experience the various parallels between the world of gastronomy and coffee, such as the importance of the quality of ingredients, the techniques, the passion and precision you apply and the creative routes you explore in the search of new tasting experiences. It was fascinating to discover how the long and slow roasting technique that I use in my cooking could be applied to the creation of Crealto”.

We love PappaRich!

Add: Lorong Batu Nilam 21A , Bandar Bukit Tinggi 2, Klang.
Tel: +603 3323 3773
Previous review: Didn't realise they (I think they were previously known as Pappa Kopitiam!) were already opened way back in 2009

I seemed to have gone to a few restaurants multiple times over my 10 day Malaysian CNY holiday (Hok Seng, Hibachi Sushi and Robata ... and PappaRich!). Can't resist the kai-see hor fun here at PappaRich. Slurpppps.

Decent Curry Laksa ...

bbG and bbbbG loves the Kaya Toast :-)

Good White Kopi :-) but I think I prefer the one at Old Town?

Nespresso: Dhjana from Geneva, Switzerland

Look what my BIL brought back from Geneva :-)

Nespresso.com ... Dhjana is a blend of Brazilian, Colombian, and Costa Rican Arabica beans along with Indian Robusta, Intensity level of 8, and the beans are 100% AAA-certified (Nespresso's Sustainable Quality program) .

Yes, there are outlets at Abu Dhabi Mall, as well as in Dubai Mall, but nothing beats "home delivery" and produce specially hand-carried over from Switzerland :-)

McDonalds Big Breakfast & Premium roast coffee

Test shot early this morning inside the lift, armed and ready to go!

One morning, me and my D7000 + 40mm Micro f/2.8 headed out to McD's for breakies ...

McDonalds on the Corniche - Click here for a location map, its on the site of the ADNOC (Petrol station), next to Spinneys.

Premium roast coffee ... 5 AED, or RM$4, tastes strictly average. I prefer my home-made Nespresso! At least they serve some posh-French preserve / jam!

Big Breakfast with an Orange juice ... 11 AED, or about RM$8.
The masterpiece? The hash brown of course!

Here was my last meal in KL as I was recently leaving KLIA (KUL International Airport) ... Old Town is now open next to the Aerotrain station / Harrods. Yay!

I really enjoyed the Kai See Hor Fun (Chicken noodles in broth - An Ipoh favourite!), with some "White" coffee. Ahh ... bliss.
