Burger time at Ti-ratana Orphanage

A Sunday afternoon visit to Ti-ratana in Desa Petaling, along with 300 burgers X, J and myself brought along!

Lets meat!

Everyone had a good time :-)

Especially this guy!
The kids are so cute :-)
Please contact me, or Ti-ratana directly, if you want to help in any way :-) It's a fantastic cause!

Darabif, Sri Hartamas - 300 burgers!

We went to Darabif to pick up 300 burgers for the Orphanage visit ...

Latest offerings!

I was also informed that the burgers are now juicier then ever! Wanna try?

In the spirit of Euro 2008, Darabif is offering prizes to customers who pick the winning teams in each game, as well as the winning scores.

Car loaded up (as well as the front seat and the entire boot!) and ready to go ...

ps - Time sure flies, felt like the Soft Launch of Darabif was only yesterday!

Devi's Corner @ Sri Hartamas

Add: Jalan 23/70A @ Desa Sri Hartamas, KL

Nasi lemak bungkus - Uh, below average!

Roti Kaya ... No complaints from X.
The Tandoori chicken was good though, good flavour :-)

Wow! I am impressed H ... Vegetables and more vegetables!

Restoran Fei Por, Pudu in KL - Excellent tai chau!

Add: 211, Jalan Pudu, KL
Tel: +603 2143 4798

Just in case you didn't know ... Fei Por = Fat Woman in Cantonese

The signature dish ... Kampung chicken rice. Had this with delicious Salted fish Bean sprouts. The chicken was tender yet beautifully textured, tasty even though we requested for breast meat. Fabulous!

Pork with Black vinegar - Deliiiiicious!

Curry pork ribs - Average. Not enough flavour in the curry.

Fried Siew Yoke (Roast pork) - Magnificent! Great flavour and taste.

Loh Wong Kwa Boiled soup - Soooo good!

Total bill was around RM$55, which bought us some super comfort food ... so good!

Penang Village TTDI - Durian cendol

Add: 1, Lorong Rahim Kajai 13, Taman Tun Dr Ismail, KL
Tel: +603 7722 4288

Penang Village was started with the intention of having good Malaysian local food & Penang Nyonya Cuisine under one roof in a friendly, comfortable & air-conditioned environment. 1st outlet was established in Desa Seri Hartamas in May 2000 while the 2nd outlet was located in Taman Tun Dr. Ismail in August 2001.
After a successful response in TTDI outlet, the achievement opened the door for the 3rd outlet which was placed in Subang jaya, USJ 9 & in October 2004 the 4th outlet was opened in Alamanda Putrajaya Mall.

Durian cendol (RM$7.90) - Pretty good, not too sweet, but the shaved ice wasn't fine enough for me.

Fresh orange juice, less ice, no sugar ... RM$6.90

Toyota Camry - Malaysia v Singapore models

Hmmm, the Singapore Camry has a hot looking rear :-) I like the rear light cluster.

I was lucky enough to catch them side-by-side at Equatorial Hotel, KL ...
Thai-manufactured Malaysian Camry v Japan-made Singapore Camry.

ps - Perhaps this will be the Camry facelift in Malaysia later this year?

Apam Balik & Hawker fare, Sea Park in PJ

Add: Apam Balik Stall @ Seapark Market. At the side lane parallel to Jalan 21/22, Seapark, PJ.

There's a good write-up about this couple, who have been selling their magical pancakes for 20 years :-) It was worth queueing up underneath the cover of the large MBPJ umbrella for the Apam Balik. Slurp, lovely flavour. RM$0.70 per piece.

It was a nice (and rather adventurous) Sunday morning breakfast trip to Seapark, also tried various other items ... including the good timsum (Fishballs and siewmai, as well as the Lor Mai Kai) at this stall.

The Nasi Lemak bungkus (RM$1.20) was average, but the Economy Noodles (Kuay teow mixed with Meehoon) was delicious, as H asked for some sweet sauce and pickled green-chilli to be added. Yummy!

Proton Satria GTi - DAT3 looks like Date

DAT3 on this Satria GTi reminds me of ... ' DATE ' :-) Would you go for a date in this fella!?
