Who's Rick? This cafe's name was inspired by the movie, Casablanca...
Wikipedia describes Rick Blaine (Humphrey Bogart) as a bitter, cynical American expatriate in Casablanca. He owns and runs "Rick's Café Américain", an upscale nightclub and gambling den that attracts a mixed clientèle of Vichy French and Nazi officials, refugees and thieves. Although Rick professes to be neutral in all matters, it is later revealed that he had run guns to Ethiopia to combat the 1935 Italian invasion, and fought on the Republican side in the Spanish Civil War against Francisco Franco's Nationalists.

Hmm, seems familiar!?
YES! This used to be Stan's Indonesian and Malaysian restaurant which served the RM$50 rendang!

Cream of Wild Mushroom Soup (RM14) - Not hearty and thick enough, pity ...
Chicken Liver Pate with Orange Preserve (RM$10) - Pretty good, but didn't like the crusty bread that looked like crisps, which were sreved alongside.
Caesars Salad - A's choice, she didn't seem to complaint!
Moroccan shish kebab - Slurp! Tasty :-)

Time for the mains ... I was really REALLY looking forward to their burgers, but we ended up being slightly dissapointed ... JS's chicken burger was slightly dry, and X's and my Beef burgers had patties which were not freshly made. Awww :-) Well, at least you can choose what topping you want on your burgers, we had everything from bacon, to various cheeses, to mushrooms, pineapples and even fried eggs!

H seemed to enjoy her pasta :-) Pity they don't serve Angel Hair...

What an incredible birthday ... another birthday dinner celebration :-)

Heh heh ....

Not telling you what I got as my pressie from my beautiful frens ... hmm, maybe I'd tell you next week!

The Chocolate Cake with the Moist Centre was good , but we didn't like the banana-ey Banana Creme Brulee. Whatever happened to simple good ol' plain Creme Brulee!?
