Redangkalong - Open Water and Advanced certification

WELL DONE, Open Water and Advance certified students of Tim & AB :-)
We had some Green Label to celebrate! Thanks, Endee!

Scenes of Redangkalong, so idyllic ...

Hey, its Chef! New on the menu ... spag bol :-)

On the day we were leaving, AB and Tim had to attend a Reef Clean Up programme (organised by some ministry) ...

Merdeka! Merdeka! Merdeka! Compressed Air! Nemoes! No De-co!

And as we got back across to Merang ... Ah Siang was there to greet us!?

Hmm ... this is truly PAS land, as were drove back to KL ...

Redang ... The drive & the breakfast

A long over-due post...
A leisurely drive from Klang - Kuantan - Kuala Terengganu - Merang ... 500 km in 6+ hours, left at 1am and got in to Kuala Terengganu in time for breakies just past 6am.
Still tickles me to think that there is a Kampung Cina serving PORK in Kuala Terengganu ... on Merdeka Day too!

Arrived at Merang jetty for 7.30am ... And we took the boat across to the island at 8.30am. It was packed with people at the little cafe opposite the jetty!

Pappa Kopitiam, Bukit Tinggi (Klang)

Another visit to this establishment ... On the table this evening was Pappa Kopitiam Chicken Chop with Fried Rice, Nasi Lemak (as always!) and Assam Laksa too. All were good! I am simply impressed that Klang has gone a long way to improved its eateries, both in terms of ambience and taste. It comes with a $$$ though!

McD's ... Beware! Filling is Hot!

Wen and Howe's wedding meeting Mk 1 started at Uncle Lim's in Ikano ... moved on to A&W which was already closing at 10pm ... and finally on to McDonalds outside Ikano in Mutiara.

Always consistently good chips at McDs, McNuggets which I am not so fond of any more ... Dunno about the fried chicken ... and everyone's favourite, the Banana Pie.

BEWARE! Filling is Hot!

Uncle Lim's at Ikano, Mutiara Damansara

Having some eats with Wen, Howe (Thanx for the treat!) and gang at UNCLE LIM's (Homegrown Tastes? That motto always makes me wonder..) . Reasonable, consistent fare every time ... Nice kaya with the kaya toast, good Michael Jackson / Soya Cincau (albeit too expensive at over 2 bucks, and not a very big glass), otak otak was so-so, reasonable nasi lemak and good chicken and chips!

Ah-pam ... Klang

$1 buys you a fluffy, tasty a-pam ... And service by the lady with a smile ... she speaks perfect Queen's english!

Shanghainese Moon Cakes

Delightful!

Sweet and sour fish ... Home cooked, yummy!

Gotta love a home cooked meal ... Soup with red dates, Potatoes stir-fried with dried shrimps, Yanna's pork with mushroom stew, and Sweet and Sour Fish ... Simply yummy!
Thanks for the raw-fish Fisherman-Dad!

Cakes from San Terri, Hartamas Shopping Centre

Expensive ... tiny portions at $7 each.

Fried Ice Cream, Port Klang

Enjoyed the work dinner at Bagan Seafood, in Port Klang ... dessert was FRIED ice cream. Yum!

Maggi Mee Goreng, Pelita (Subang)

This maggi mee goreng is full of flavour and moist as well ... so yummy! Pelita mamak is located in Subang, near Pan's. Check out the waiters when you are next their, adorning their 'Malaysia flag' songkoks!
