WIP @ Bangsar Shopping Centre

The gang had a few post-dinner drinks at WIP (Bangsar Shopping Centre - G111 on the Ground Floor / Tel: +603 2094 1789) ... SM was back in town :-)

Slurp...

Most enjoyed the Macallan ... and one of us had a Gin n Tonic ....

Cam whoring!

Gong Hey Fatt Choy!
Bon voyage to those balik kampung to Ipoh, Penang, Sibu and Kuching ...

George and Dragon ... a new pub in Bangsar!

NEW IN TOWN!
The George & Dragon, Bangsar Shopping Centre (next to RHB Bank)
This is the newest addition to the collection of pubs run by the management team of FINNEGAN'S Irish Pubs and Restaurants and is fashioned in a mock-Tudor design complete with leaded windows, resplendent in plush burgundy carpeting and lashings of black timber.
Must come check it out with my mates one of these days ... Spotted it as we were walking into WIP.

The Ming Room @ Bangsar Shopping Centre, KL

The Ming Room is possibly one of the finest chinese restaurants in Kuala Lumpur, and gives a 'fine dining' experience outside of the usual hotel chinese restaurants ... Great food! It's part of the Oriental chain of restaurants which includes the not so great tim-sum at Oriental Jaya Supermarket

Excellent to-fu tid-bits ...

Hmm, I was wondering why the 2 different lengths of chopsticks ... then I realised, it was for the Loh Sang / Loh Hei , as our table for 13 pax was so big!

We started off with some delicious Black Chicken Soup ... exquisite!

Another masterpiece ... delicious, Loh Hei with fresh Salmon!

Another signature dish ... The deep fried prawns.
The boys, Danny and Colin, brought some wine along ... this is just one of the bottles!
This was REALLY good too ... if only we could have a shootout with...

Happy New Year ... GONG HEY FATT CHOY merry gang!
SM was back in town, and met my gang for dinner :-)

By this point, we were rather much full up ... the chicken and vegetarian dish was good too.
The final dish was deeeeeelicious, Tofu with Fatt Choy!

iPod nano

Wikipedia notes on this gorgeous device!
The iPod nano is a portable media player designed and marketed by Apple Inc.
It is the midrange model in Apple's iPod family.
The first generation model was introduced on September 7, 2005, and combines features of both the iPod shuffle and iPod classic. It was intended to replace the iPod mini, which was discontinued on the same day.

And on-to Mk III ...
Apple updated the nano again on September 5, 2007 and made it available the weekend following.
The third generation nano features a 2-inch QVGA (320×240) screen and a shorter, wider, heavier design, with new colors.
New features include browsing via Cover Flow, a new user interface, video playback, and support for new iTunes Store games.
The nano was announced in a 4 GB version at US$149 (UK£99.99) coming only in silver, and an 8 GB version at US$199 (UK£129.99) coming in silver, turquoise, mint green, black and Product Red.
The battery lasts for approx. 24 hours on audio playback and approx. 5 hours on video playback. On January 22, 2008, Apple released a pink version of the 8GB iPod nano.
Combining elements from the previous generations of iPod Nano, the third-generation iPod has an aluminum front plate and a chrome back plate.
The nano also sports a new minimalistic hold switch, similar to the iPod Shuffle's power switch, which has been moved to the bottom of the player. The 2 inch screen has the greatest pixel density of any Apple product and has the same resolution of the 2.5 inch iPod Classic's display.

BHD5 ... a familiar registration plate!

One of my friends has a rather similar registration to this ... one alphabet off! I like the E66, not sure if I like it more then the new Merc W221 S-class though! Take a look...

ps - I am impressed by the IS (image stability) of the Canon G9, especially in the 2nd shot ... this 7 series was a moving target!
