Char Kuay Teow - Noodle House, Al Wahda Mall

We rather like the noodles at Al Wahda Mall's Noodle House.

Our preferred dish ... Char Kuay Teow. Yes, its Halal, but still tastes so good!

The sambal is good too :-)

However... there is a downside! Know what it is ...

Not for the faint hearted ... its 48 AED, or nearly RM$45 per plate of char kuay teow!

Pick Salami from Hungary - Home in Abu Dhabi!

Spanish Sea Bream dinner at home

One evening, as the moon rises over Abu Dhabi ...

It was a "posh" dinner, Sea Bream

bbG prepared it Mediterranean style, ala Espana ... Nice!

Oranges, pomelo and more in Abu Dhabi

Pineapple anyone? RM$6 for a fruit, sliced, at Lulu or Carrefour.

Chinese pomelo ... good stuff!

Our favourite packed juice ... Florida's Natural, love the chunky bits of pulp!

A good navel orange still beats even the best of orange juices on the market!

Mmmh... a sweet juicy plum!

Steak for dinner at home?

bbG prepared an Australian Rib-eye steak for dinner one night ... bliss!

Ah ... medium rare :-)

I loved the baked potatoes and onions, sweeeet!

I like my Bak Kut Teh ... in the desert!

Some times I feel like Bak Kut Teh ... in Abu Dhabi!

Just like home ... served with some simple greens :-) aka Hoh Yau Choy!

Singapore Mee Siam and other goodies at home!

Singapore Mee Siam differs from the Malaysian variety, as it includes a peanut-based tangy gravy, and we love it! Here's bbG's home made variety ... Perfect!

Warm donuts from Krispy Kreme at 10am!

Where does one go when one needs a donut fix? Khalidiyah Mall in Abu Dhabi!

Try going at 10am in the morning, when Krispy Kreme first opens, the donuts are WARM and FRESH then!!
