I really like this unassuming place, have to say that the selection of cakes and pastas + some homegrown local dishes reminds me a lot of Secret Recipe, hmmm. Except that La Manila is a lot more homely!
Spaghetti - Simple, unassuming, and pretty darn good!
Chicken pie - A signature dish here, marvelous filling and pastry! Reminds me of some of the great pies I used to love in the UK, mmmmh. Cornish pasty anyone?
next time try the char kuey teow!!!

ReplyDeletethere is a Manila Place in Tesco, Ipoh, with more or less the same food, and guess what? the proprietor it seems, WAS an employee of Secret Recipe's ..! the resemblance is self-explanatory then?
