Way, way back in the mid 80's, I was a greenhorn working for a local IT company. At the height of the recession, my MD called a meeting and basically did the same thing as this comic strip.
But, me, being a chappie who does not mince words, put up my hand and said "that sounds like a threat".
Imagine that, I even had some trouble makers clap. I am happy to say I survived the MD in the company.
